Thinking About a 25-Foot Center Console? A Six-Point Checklist, Worked Through on the LTB 25

Hull, power, ride, electronics, deck and the extras: six things worth checking on any center console, answered for the 2025 LTB 25 in Reel Chance's giveaway.

Looking at center consoles means reading a lot of spec sheets. Here is a short checklist you can hold any of them up to. To show how it works, we have answered every point for one particular boat: the 2025 Latitude Tournament Boats LTB 25 that Reel Chance is giving away.

Check 1Hull and layout

Ask: How long is it, what is it made of, and how is the deck laid out?

On the LTB 25: a 25-foot fiberglass performance hull with an open center console and a large fishing layout.

Check 2Power and fuel

Ask: What is on the transom, and how much fuel does it carry?

On the LTB 25: a Mercury V8 Verado 300 HP gasoline outboard with fly-by-wire controls, and a 180-gallon fuel tank.

Check 3Ride control

Ask: Is there anything managing the ride besides the hull shape?

On the LTB 25: Seakeeper Ride vessel attitude control. It corrects pitch and roll automatically, and the listing credits it with better rough-water handling and less bow rise.

Check 4Electronics

Ask: What comes installed at the helm, and what would you still have to add?

On the LTB 25: two Garmin 1243xsv displays, a Reactor 40 autopilot and GHC 50 control head, SmartPump hydraulic control, a GR17M transducer, Garmin VHF and Mercury VesselView.

Check 5The fishing deck

Ask: Where do the rods go, and how do you clean up?

On the LTB 25: 40 rod holders in all, 22 of them on the gunwales, plus a saltwater washdown system and full custom DEKit flooring.

Check 6The extras

Ask: What else is already fitted?

On the LTB 25: a Garmin Force Kraken trolling motor on a Sea Swivel bracket, two Rule 1500 GPH bilge pumps, and Fusion and Wet Sounds audio with four Zero speakers and a 10-inch sub.

Beyond the checklistRead the diagram

A labeled overhead photo can answer layout questions faster than a list, and it is worth asking any seller for one. It shows where things sit relative to each other, which a list of features cannot. The giveaway page has one for this boat, marking the 40 rod holders, the 300 Mercury Verado, Seakeeper Ride and the Garmin trolling motor with its Sea Swivel bracket.

Not on any spec sheetWhat the winner actually gets to choose

One item a spec sheet won't list: in this giveaway, the winner can skip the boat entirely. Under the Official Rules, the winner chooses between this LTB 25 center console and a $100,000 cash award. The maximum approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $200,000.
